An Introduction to Me and the website.

Hello.
Welcome to my page. If you are reading this it is likely you already know me, however if you found yourself here reading this paragraph by chance i am Ben Rees nice to "meet" you.
I'm currently 26 years of age and ambitiously attempting to pursue a career as a professional mixed martial artist. What does that mean you may ask? Well, in short it involves investing an abundance of time money and energy into training my skillset (2 or 3 times daily) to increase my chances at reaping rewards such as the soaring highs of victory that are almost indescribable and reaching the expectations I set for myself. A victory is never guaranteed even with adequate preparation and with all competition especially at high level the victories come hand in hand with failures and defeats which can drag into staggering lows and the depths of despair, if you let it. I cover Bothe aspects of winning and losing and the effects it has physically and mentally while going into more detail about training and the sacrifices it requires in my blog.
Another passion of mine involves travelling, the bug for exploring different countries, cultures and climates really started for me when I was 20 years old and after barely going any further than my hometown of Exmouth on my own, I made the decision to fly half way across the globe to Sacramento, California and train MMA (mixed martial arts) with Team Alpha Male home to some of the most accomplished martial artists on the planet. The first trip to the USA changed my mindset on travelling and the world suddenly got smaller and more accessible, since then I have visited, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Thailand. I talk more about my travelling and travel plans in my blog.
Alongside travelling the world and fighting I absolutely love food and will happily divulge all information on cuisines I have tried from different cultures and countries, this will also further break down to what I eat when I'm preparing for a fight or when I'm just training normally out of camp where I have a bit more freedom on the plate but not on the waistline. Please refer to my blog for the juicy details.
I'm writing this blog to share my experiences, stories and future plans and aspirations while improving on my writing skills. So although this is predominantly for myself to improve and share if I can entertain, educate or even inspire you along the way then thats a huge bonus. I hope you enjoy my blog.
